“Some people like to paint, or do gardening or build a boat in their basement. Other people get tremendous pleasure out of the kitchen, because cooking is just as  creative  and imaginative an activity as drawing, or wood carving, or music.” - Julia Child

I cannot say that I have ever built a boat in my basement, but I do find infinite sums of pleasure in the kitchen. It's my goal to put every ounce of pleasure and passion I have for cooking into my food and share it with those whom I love.

Most of the recipes that you will find on this blog, are straight from my head  (hence the title "from head to table"). Others are inspired by dishes I eat that beg to be recreated. And some are from my growing library of cookbooks.

A little more about me...

I have been cooking since I was 5 years old. On Saturday mornings instead of watching cartoons, I would wake up to watch Julia Child, Jacques Pépin and Michael Chiarello on PBS. I learned basic techniques from watching these culinary superheroes. The rest was just spending time in the kitchen and letting my creativity run wild.

I find inspiration in farmers' markets, seasonal cooking, wholesome ingredients and the occasional indulgence.

Thank you for stopping by, enjoy!
